X-sail events are a fantastic all-age-group activity, so are ideal for special events like birthdays, stag and hen parties, and corporate team building events. One lucky bride even went home with an X-sail as her wedding gift after her hen party event! The X-sail is so easy to learn, and is usuable with such a large age-group, that you can easily have 3 generations of the same family racing each other.
If that sounds a bit tame for the adrenalin junkies then savour the prospect of 90kmh with only 2 wheels on the ground, and your bum inches from the sand.
X-Sail Events - Scotland
In Scotland we have X-Sail Events, a dedicated team of windsport experts with years of experience in introducing the uninitiated to the joys of X-sailing. Their safe and structured courses allow you to get up to speed as quickly as possible, and make the best of your day out.
X-Sail Events are to be seen regularly on West Sands at St Andrews, because it offers a fantastic big area at low tide, and because of the low lying land behind it's useable in any wind direction. There are also fantastic options at Troon on the West coast, and the beaches in East Lothian. If the fancy takes you, and you don't want to wait for the tide, they can also arrange for the use of old Airfield runways in Fife and East Lothian, for fast and furious tarmac action. If you have a favourite location then X-Sail Events is open to suggestions, but if it's further from base than usual then this may attract a charge to cover extra expenses.
X-sail hire is available midweek or weekends. There are a minimum number of 5 X-sail hours required to make it worthwhile running an X-sail day, so either book 5 X-sail hours OR book into a day where X-sailing will only go ahead when that booking level is reached. Alternatively, you could get a mad bunch together and book a 4x4 - 4 X-sails for 4 hours and as many folk as you care to share with.
Another option is the 4x2 - 4 X-sails for 2 hours, for up to 10 children - a great idea for a birthday party.
X-sailing is wind dependent, and X-Sail Events will ask you to phone in on the morning of your booking to confirm the day is going ahead. Please also bear in mind that when you use the beach, we have to do so when the tide is out, so some days may not be best suited to using the beach. In case you're very date specific, it may be possible to use an airfield.
X-sail hour - £30 .............(1 X-sail for 1 hour)
X-sail 4x2 - £200 .............( 4 X-sails for 2 hours, for up to 10 kids)
X-sail 4x4 - £300 .............( 4 X-sails for 4 hours, bring as many folk as you like)

What do X-Sail Events provide? - X-sails, helmets, windsocks, wind (if only)
What you should bring - Waterproof clothes (inc trousers), stout shoes or boots, gloves, eyegear you don't mind being trashed ( shades, old ski goggles or B&Q safety specs)
